Suntan - More Than Just Change Of Skin Color |
|
|
Getting a suntan or sunburn are two different things. As we all
know sunlight is very important part of our lives as it provides
Vitamin D to us. A normal tan if one get is fine as long as you
are not overexposed to sunlight causing your skin to burn. As
sunlight falls on you it helps in creation of melanin which
regulates the skin color.
There are different psychological reasons for people getting
their skin tanned. For many it is a fashion statement and
sometimes these prove to be very harmful for ones skin. Suntan
affects differently to the different skin types. They are
slotted into six categories which depend on the different |

types.
The different skin types are 1. Very sensitive which burns and
never tans 2. Tanning is very little but can burn easily 3.
Tanning is gradual and burning is moderate 4. Easily tans with
less burns 5. Tans abundantly and very rarely burns 6. Least
sensitive with less burns and heavy tanning
Some of the precautions you can take to avoid over exposure of
your skin, so as to avoid the UV rays which can be very
cancerous. Rates of breast, prostrate and other cancerous
disease have increased mainly due to the UV rays. Whenever you
are out, try wearing a cap to avoid the rays.

to your skin due to the sun.
Whenever you are out apply sunscreen which is effective enough
to protect your skin and try putting the sunscreen 15-20 minutes
before you move out in the open. Wearing proper clothing also
helps as it would be covering most parts of your body. Don't
stop using sunscreen as it is cloudy weather, use it all the
times.
