Most of us feel that if the acne is mild, self medication would be more than enough and there is no need for any acne help but the fact remains that if you contact a dermatologist, he would be able to give you an idea about the cause of your acne and the options that could be utilized for acne treatment.

Acne help becomes absolutely essential if you find that your self medication is not working. If you find that the self medication you are using on yourself is not working properly you should not delay in contacting a dermatologist. If you don’t get proper acne help, even mild acne might result into severe ones and the situation might aggravate. You might also have to take antibiotics either in the form of pills or in the form of lotions and creams. In more severe cases, you would have to take both the forms.

You should understand one more thing. Irrespective of the form of treatment that you might be undergoing, it is imperative that you follow the directions of your dermatologist. Take the medication as is being prescribed to you. If your acne clears up, don’t stop taking medicines. Continue with the medications until stated otherwise by your dermatologists. There is always a chance of recurrence of the acne. This is your problem and as such it is essential that you should be posted on all the details regarding your condition. If you have any doubts, jot it down and ask it at your next meeting with the doc.

If your acne is severe, it would surely take time and thus don’t get disheartened. Acne is really a very common occurrence and as such if you take proper acne help, there is no reason why it couldn’t be gotten rid of.
