Affect of Diet on Acne

So, is there any affect of diet on acne? If you take an opinion poll, more than ninety percent of people would vote in favor of the fact that there is some sort of affect of diet on acne. They would go to any extremes on their belief that there is some affect of diet on acne. Yes, there are a few but in minority who feel that there exists no such relationship between diet and acne. They claim that there is no affect of diet on acne. So, do you really think that eating oily and greasy food, or chocolates and junk food have no effect on acne? Well, it’s sort of hard to digest but would you choke on your breath if I tell you that there exists no such relationship between diet and acne?

You would be surprised to note that there exists absolutely no scientific data to suggest that there is any affect of diet on acne. There is no research to corroborate the fact that there exists as such any link between diet and acne. So, it means that you can continue with your pizzas and French fries without any guilt and without the fear of acne outbursts. It is true that acne is caused by excess secretion of oil by your sebaceous glands and as such the direct inference people took out from it is that oily food would also result in acne. So, there must be affect of diet on acne. But there is a slight problem with this assumption. The oil secreted by the sebaceous glands is entirely different from the oil that you take in your diet. So, there can be no relation between the two.

What you must understand is that we are not talking about acne triggers. It is true that there is no affect of diet on acne but equally true is the fact that there are certain acne triggers. There exists certain food that might turn out to be acne trigger for certain people. In this case it is advisable to avoid those foods. But in all other cases, there is no direct relationship between the food you take and the occurrence of acne.

So, should you go on taking all the junk food and all the greasy oily stuff? Before this question is answered, we would like to ask you a question. If you would have to choose between acne and heart attack, what would you choose? Even if there is no affect of diet on acne, you would surely get heart disease if you take all that unhealthy stuff. It can cause serious trouble for you. What is more important to understand is that if your body is healthy, all the functionalities of your body would be fine and if your body is not healthy, it would not function properly. And here we could tell you with confidence that there is a direct relationship between diet and the health you enjoy.
